Almost all sport bikes have a thermostat that opens between 160 and 170 degrees, as this is where the engine starts to make its best power and good mpg and emissions. 170-180 is the sweet spot on all high revving gas engines. On the track with a data logger you will see your engine temp stays between 160-170 for stock bikes and never ever gets above 180. This is because there are high winds being channeled into your radiator via the cowlings, which is exactly how the manufactures build these bikes.

So what happens in everyday driving and commuting to work and stop and go summer traffic? Yes, you know what I mean, 220 degrees and up burning your legs at every traffic light, heat rising up to your helmet making you sweat like a pig, and then the fan comes on at 225 and shooting 225 degree heat right on your knees to the point your trying to lift your legs out of the way hoping for the light to turns green. Yeah, we have all been there. Now finally someone has come out with a cooling fan control system built into a tiny self contained stand alone unit that allows you to dial that fan into whatever temps you want. With a super wide range of 130 degrees right to 230 degrees, and it has outputs for twin fans and has its own relay and fuse built in. It even comes with two types of temp senders stainless steel external and a micro brass screw in internal. This is a completely stand alone system. All wiring is included and even a tuning tool for your tool kit that allows you to adjust it on the fly. The system also comes with an instant on switch for fastest, max cooling when at the track in the pit between races. FFD has thought of everything, why did they think of everything? This system is fully automatic, set it and forget it. You dial in the temp and the control system does the rest. Here's an example - you set the temp to turn the fans on at 200 degrees - when your bike hits 200 degrees the fans turn on and cool the bike down to 12 degrees lower and turn off - so when your bike reaches 188 degrees the control system shuts the fans down.

Fans on at 200 fans then off 188, the control system handles it all. That's a whole lot better then the factory on at 225 and off at 215 don't ya think?
